Backnote

Terms of Service

Effective date: August 11, 2026

Use Of Backnote

Backnote helps you record lectures, create transcripts, organize course material, and generate study aids. You are responsible for using the app lawfully, including getting any consent required before recording a lecture, class, meeting, or conversation.

Your Content

Your recordings, transcripts, notes, photos, study materials, vocabulary entries, and course data remain your content. You are responsible for the content you create, import, sync, export, or send to a study provider.

Third-Party Services

Backnote integrates with Apple services, Firebase, Google AdMob, and any study provider you configure. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. If you configure an online model provider, you authorize Backnote to send the request content needed to complete your study request to that provider.

In-App Purchases

Backnote may offer non-consumable in-app purchases such as Remove Ads and Backnote Pro. Purchases are processed by Apple. Purchase availability, refunds, Family Sharing, and billing are handled through Apple App Store policies.

No Academic Or Professional Guarantee

Transcripts and AI-generated study material can contain mistakes, omissions, or misleading wording. You should review important material against the original recording, course materials, and your instructor's guidance.

Acceptable Use

Do not use Backnote to violate law, infringe rights, collect information without required consent, or submit abusive, illegal, or harmful feedback content.

Service Changes

Backnote may change features, pricing, provider integrations, or availability over time. We may update these terms by publishing a revised version on this site.
